The Barrel Leg Pants are a One of A Kind piece made from reclaimed jeans from the fashion brand Eileen Fisher’s take back program. The jeans were hand selected by Chelsea from Eileen Fisher’s Tiny Factory in Irvington, NY and then deconstructed and rebuilt in her home studio in Brooklyn, NY. The construction of the pants is inspired by ‘stripweaving’, a technique found in African textiles, particularly mud cloth. The stripweave construction is developed entirely by hand and is a notable feature to this piece, alongside the playful placement of the front leg pockets and the unique barrel leg shape.
