Born in Brooklyn and growing up in London UK, Chelsea relocated to NYC in 2018. Chelsea has a background in fashion design, textiles, art and dance. She received her BA Hons in Fashion Design from the University for the Creative Arts, UK in 2010. In 2019 Chelsea entered the field of early childhood education as a teacher and stepped into the healing arts as a practitioner of SourcePoint Therapy® in 2020.

As an artist, teacher and healing arts practitioner Chelsea’s practice serves as a catalyst for accessing innate creativity, wisdom, and awareness. Believing that through this awareness we can experience transformation and empowerment, living in alignment with and embodying our deepest intention for being alive.

Chelsea is inspired by philosophy, sacred literature, art, and rituals that come from indigenous people and cultures from around the world. The intention behind her research, exploration, and work is to reclaim the knowledge and ancestral history of herself and indigenous people. Activating remembrance, restoration, and healing of the spirit and psyche through a deep knowledge and understanding of herself, humanity, and culture.

In 2013 Chelsea Bravo founded her eponymous menswear label with the launch of a strongly received spring/summer 2013 collection entitled ‘Dysfunction’. In June 2014 she held her first presentation during London Collections: Men with a collection entitled ‘Concourse’, which explored the notion of recreating both the intellectual and somatic experience of viewing art in a museum or gallery through clothing.

In 2015 Chelsea was invited to be a part of the British Fashion Council’s Emerging Designer Showrooms, taking part for two consecutive seasons. In the same year Chelsea was selected by Squarespace to be a part of their 2016 You Should campaign and interviewed and featured in the womenswear streetstyle photography book ‘Women In This Town’.  The brand has gone on to be written about and featured in Vogue, Elle, Design Milk, The Daily Mail UK, Okay Africa and InStyle Magazine. Her pieces have been worn by music artists Kojey Radical, Goldlink, Mr Eazi, Anik Khan, Jidenna, FKA Twigs and Kelsey Lu.

Chelsea’s collections now feature menswear, womenswear, and unisex styles as well as One of A Kind pieces made from reclaimed and repurposed clothing and textiles. Describing her design process as, explorations and expressions of creativity, her design work creatively infuses an artistic hand through illustrative abstract hand-painting and elements of hand-embroidery and appliqué. Her garments are open, free, and playful to wear and are made with natural fabrics such as hemp, linen, wool, and organic cotton.

All pieces in the collections are designed and made by Chelsea Bravo.
